Hi, friend!
The traffic-suppress command is used to set the suppression level of broadcast, unknown multicast, and unknown unicast traffic on a port to prevent such packets from occupying excessive network resources and causing network congestion. You can also run this command to solve the problem of slow service processing (such as dial-up failure and slow Internet access) caused by packet loss. After the traffic suppression level is configured successfully, if the traffic control function is enabled on a port, the system limits the traffic of the port based on the traffic corresponding to the traffic suppression level.
Take the MA5800 as an example. By default, the broadcast suppression function is enabled.
Thanks!
