Hi everybody,

I need some clarification about the behavior of "stp edged-port default" and "stp bpdu-protection". Actually, theses 2 features are enabled and I've configured an Eth-trunk in LACP mode with 2 ports (see below). The problem is that I get the following error:

%%01MSTP/4/BPDU_PROTECTION(l)[34]:This edged-port Eth-Trunk1 that enabled BPDU-Protection will be shutdown, because it received BPDU packet!

The "port-channel" goes down. My question is: Does the edged-port and bpdu-protection function are also enabled even if port are configured as a "trunk port".

With other vendors like Cisco or Arista, when you configure edge-port and bpdu-guard with thoses command: spanning-tree portfast default and spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default, only "access" port apply the command. Could you tell me how it works in huawei?

Do I need to explicitly disable bpdu-protection with the undo command on the Eth-trunk port?

Thank you for your help

Best regards,

Greg.

Here's the configuration of the switch (S5731H):

STP config:

stp mode rstp

stp edged-port default

stp bpdu-protection

and the Eth-trunk 1 configured with 2 ports:

interface Eth-Trunk1

 shutdown

 port link-type trunk

 port trunk allow-pass vlan 2 to 4094

 mode lacp

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/47

 shutdown

 eth-trunk 1

#

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/48

 shutdown

 eth-trunk 1

@Ptipoussin588 hello,
all the port will be considered as the edge-port when then command stp edged-port default.
if you are sure that you want to disable edge-port on the trunk interface, you can excute command stp edged-port disable under the eth-trunk interface.

Hello!
Is that mean that switch decide that device at the other side of the trunk Eth-trunk interface is not a switch but access device? Because it didn't receive stp packets from that interface and than it received it and shutdown the interface. Am I right?
