Hi,

Yesterday my company brought yet another Huawei smartphone GR5 aka 5X.
We are based in Belarus, so we brought 2 branded GR5 from MTS.by carrier in addition to few other Huawei smartphones we have.
We discovered that these two phones have old version of Android (5.1.1) so we went Huawei website and downloaded a newer version for Russian market. The problem is that we have different "fake" region, called mts/by, so we cann't cross-update to Android 6.0.1 of hw/ru region
We decided to unlock the bootloader on one of the phones, root it, change the region and retry to update
The problem is that now we have a bricked phone, because it only boots to bootloader (FASTBOOT & RESCUE MODE) and it reports that it's re-locked now (PHONE Locked).
So basically we cannot re-flash old firmare, because bootloader is locked and the old code doesn't work anymore + we cannot go further with the update, so basically we can't do anythting at this point and it's not fair. If you allow us to unlock the bootloader and we loose the warranty, you cannot re-lock it later, leaving us with a $250 brick. Our carrier won't help us because the smartphone has been unlocked and rooted, while we cannot request the new code or go further / revert the update.
