How to block specific IP addresses on Huawei routers:

1. In the “Router settings” page, go to Advanced and select Firewall. Some other routers show IP Filtering under the “Advanced” tab.
2. Open the Firewall level drop-down list and choose Custom. Name this “google” then submit it. After completing this step, you should see something like this:
3. Choose the Firewall level you just created ( “google”) then select IP filtering.
4. On the right, click New then enter 8.8.8.8. Click Submit.
5. Repeat the above but enter 8.8.4.4 instead.
6. Depending on which streaming service you want to use, you may need to add a few more IPs. For the list of specific IPs, please contact the ExpressVPN Support team.
7. If you’re on Windows, open your Command Prompt. If you’re on Mac, open your Terminal.
8. Enter:
ping 8.8.8.8
ping 8.8.4.4
(and the other IPs you blocked).
9. The ping tests should fail (returning errors such as “Timed Out” or “Destination Host Unreachable”). If you get a response, check that you have performed the steps above correctly. If the problem persists, reboot your router and repeat the steps.
