Blade Running Status Is Unknown After a Subrack Server Is Connected to FusionMan

After a user chooses Resource > Device > Physical Device > Subrack on the FusionManager portal and connects a subrack server to the FusionManager system, Running status of all blades on the Host page is Unknown.

Handling Process

1. On the FusionManager portal, choose Resource > Device > Physical Device > Subrack to display the subrack list.

2. Locate the row that contains the subrack, select Configure Adding Parameters from the Operation column and configure the BMC and management information about each blade.

3. Check whether the server running status is normal after information about all servers is configured.

Root Cause

The failure occurs because server information, inducing the BMC and operating system (OS) information, is not configured after the subrack server is connected to the system.

Suggestions

After connecting a subrack to the FusionManager system, you must configure the BMC and OS information about each blade so that the FusionManager system can discover and start the blades and obtain blade hardware information as well as manage and monitor the blades.
