Bind the Static MAC Address to the ONT ETH Port on the EA5800

Hi team!


I have some questions about the configuration of the EA5800. 

We use the EA5800 to manage ONTs. 

Now we want to bind static MAC addresses to the Ethernet ports of the connected ONTs. 

What should I do? Is there anything to be aware of? 

If you can, please provide me with documentation of the relevant commands.

Hi friend.


To configure a static MAC address, disable the ONT ETH port from learning dynamic MAC addresses, and then configure a static MAC address to bind the MAC address to the ONT ETH port.

  1. Disable the ONT eth port learning function.

    You could use the mac-learning command. This command is used to enable or disable the MAC address learning function of an ONT. In the scenario (such as the private user scenario) where a large number of MAC addresses need to be learned, disable this function.

  2. Configure static mac-address for the ONT eth port.

    You could use the mac-address static(ont) command. The mac-address static command is used to configure a static MAC address for a specific ONT port. The undo mac-address static command is used to delete a static MAC address of a specific ONT port.
