Latest reply: Nov 16, 2018 05:04:44 7917 6 0 0

Hi,

I have an opportunity for a U1910 but the customer wants a billing software together with the solution.

Do you know any billing software solution that is already certfied to work with Huawei products?

For the EGW and ARG3 I need the same solution.

Can you please help?

Thank you.

Well as long the billing software u will use can handle FTP and binary records should e fine cause the U1910 can generate two types of record the automatically one that is in binary and to is is configures by the BMU Server that you can implement by installing the huawei BMU software and then you will be able to implement such feature like in the example below:

CDR

In the eSpace UC solution, the CDR management system consists of the CDR server, and the CDR management modules on the Unified Gateway and BMU.

Network

Figure 1 shows the CDR management system network.

http://localhost:7890/pages/30002190/03/30002190/03/resources/uc_sltd/images/fig_uc_sltd_00029_01.png

The CDR server converts Unified Gateway CDRs into binary CDR files and stores them in a specified directory. The CDR server provides an FTP interface to transfer binary CDR files to the BMU server or third-party billing software.

Functions

Table 1 describes the CDR management functions.

Description

I think the question was about 3rd party billing software which can handle Huawei CDRs. Huawei UC CDRs gives only very basic tools for managing CDRs data.

Hi!!!, indeed, the tools provided specifically by the U1910 are not many, howver the is a tool called BillAgent and this tool can convert the binary files to a TXT file, that file needs to be validated by 3rd party billing software providers to see if they can use that file.

You can obtain CDRServer and CDRAgent in UC 1.1 package (you can download it from support.huawei.com). When you install both apps like described it @Eduardovkb (or in UC300 Product Docummentation - please look at my post here: http://forum.huawei.com/enterprise/thread-277075.html ) it will be working fine (I have this installed on our server with 3rd party billing software and works perfect).
