Hello all,

Origin attribute identify that how network introduced in BGP...but what its advantage in BGP routing.

Does anyone know the reason? Thanks!

@LSA hello,
as you said, BGP origin attribute helps to identify how the routes are introduced in BGP, besides, it could help to determine which BGP routing should be loaded into the routing table. Commonly, the routes marked with IGP is prefered than EGP, then the Incomplete.
