Batteri consumption at 100%

Hi,

I have a SUN2000-6KTL inverter connected to a LUNA2000 5kwh battery pack.


When the battery is at 100% charge and Inverter is exporting exess power to grid, the battery pack still consumes around 100w.


100w seems rather high just for the bms and some flashing lights.


What is consuming those 100w and if its the battery isn't it going to wear down the battery by putting power into it when at 100%?

@bizkid please upgrade your 6KTL-L1 inverter to SPC124 and the LUNA battery to SPC114 (you can do it remotely via Installer account on FusionSolar webpage: https://intl.fusionsolar.huawei.com ) and that should solve your problem.

Hi,

try to avoid continuing to charge the battery when it is fully charged to prevent the battery from overcharging (overcharging and over-discharging the battery can negatively affect the battery life), 

so you need to set the End-of-charge SOC (%) and End-of-discharge SOC (%) of the battery in the system to avoid the above situation.

Refer to the following diagram for the setup process on top of the FusionSolar APP.

Thanks @Jerry_Lin , i tried your suggestion and set max charge to 99%.

However when the battery is now at 99% the overview still show a consumption of battery pack of around 100w.


I tried going to the detailed view of the battery and it shows 0.000kw under "Charge/Discharge power". That must mean the the battery is in fact not being charged with ~100w when at 100% (or set maximum).

That's good but does not explain why the overview shows 100w consumption.

Hi, regarding your question, I consulted my development colleagues and suggested that your charging SOC be set to 90%-95%, plus this 100w value will not affect the normal operation of the device.

@Kato_ro Thanks for the advice.
The inverter is a 6KTL-M1, sorry for not pointing that out. It has version SPC141.
The battery is version SPC109 and FusionSolar app is not offering anything else than SPC109. Can i download upgrade packages anywhere else?

@Jerry_lin here is another interesting set of screenshots.

Overview shows 21w flowing into the battery, but the detail view show that battery is discharging 52w...

This means that battery is discharging just to keep itself "alive". Would there be an option to just shut battery down when excess solar output is too low to keep battery "alive"?
