Hello, there, community!
This post contains basic ONT information and troubleshooting. Please have a read below for more information.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
ONT stands for Optical Network Terminal.
The ONT (also called the modem) connects to the Termination Point (TP) with an optical fiber cable. It connects to your router via a LAN / ethernet cable and translates light signals from the fiber optic line from your TP into electronic signals that your router can read.

At one point in time, only 1 port of your ONT is active and supplying your connection. The rest should have no internet access.
TROUBLESHOOTING

If you’re experiencing connection issues (e.g. lack of internet access or slow speeds), a key troubleshooting step is to try connecting your computer directly to the ONT to see if the problem goes away.
To do this, get a network cable (also known as an Ethernet / LAN cable) and connect your computer to the ONT, plugging it into the ONT’s active port 1.
If the problem goes away with a direct connection to the ONT, then the issue does not lie with the connection to your residence, but somewhere within your home networking setup i.e. with your router or your wireless connection, or your computer.
If there is no internet when you're connected directly to the modem, follow these steps to power cycle the device:
disconnect the ONT’s power supply;
wait for about 5 minutes for the ONT’s internal cache to clear;
reconnect the ONT’s power supply.
This would be the basic ONT information and troubleshooting.
