Bandwidth attributes on radius Access-Accept for PPPoE users on NE20-S2F

Does anyone know if the NE20 support dynamic bandwidth attributes within a radius Access-Accept packet? I have noticed that the HW-Avpair attribute has this sub-attribute "subscriber:fq", which let me define some qos parameters for the user, but I couldn't figure out how to check on the router if the parameters delivered by this attribute are being enforced. I have tried to set them on my radius server with this format:


Huawei-AVpair += subscriber:fq=cs7;shaping.value=1000;sch=pq;dir=in

Huawei-AVpair += subscriber:fq=cs7;shaping.value=1000;sch=pq;dir=out


Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, BRAS support the dynamic bandwidth adjustment accordingto the HW-Policy-Name(26-95) radius attribute.
and you can check if the user bandwidth is matched with radius configuration
display value-added-service policy
display value-added-service user
display value-added-service user user-id

I am going to do some tests with HW-Avpair to see what happens, but as I am new to Huawei routers, I still don't know how to debug it correctly. It would be a shame if something like this does not work, as even entry-level equipment like Mikrotik Routers have such functionality.

Hi,

Thanks for answering, but I think that this command would tell the router to send hw-avpair back to radius on accounting-request packets. In my case I need to make it work with Access-Accept and CoA packets.

You can use the attributes 26-1 to 26-6 to configure dynamic bandwidth for the user, it works without any qos-profile attached to the user:

display access-user username test verbose

ACL&QoS:        
  Inbound qos configuration     : User-CAR
  Inbound cir                   : 750(kbps)(Radius)
  Inbound pir                   : 0(kbps)
  Inbound cbs                   : 140250(bytes)
  Inbound pbs                   : 0(bytes)
  Outbound qos configuration    : User-queue
  Outbound cir                  : 750(kbps)(Radius)
  Outbound pir                  : 750(kbps)
  Effective slot : 0
   User-car outbound cir        : 750(kbps)
   User-car outbound pir        : 750(kbps)
   User-car outbound cbs        : 140250(bytes)
   User-car outbound pbs        : 140250(bytes)
  Link bandwidth auto adapt     : Disable
  UpPriority                    : Unchangeable
  DownPriority                  : Unchangeable


I tested these attributes within an Access-Accept packet, and they also work within a CoA packet.
