Q6: can I connect the water pump to the Backup Box?
A6: the Backup Box does not support motor-type loads such as water pumps, industrial fans, and air conditioners
given that modern heat pumps are equipped with PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuitry achieving very high power factor, could I connect a heat pump to the B1 Backup Box? What is the minimum acceptable Power Factor for the primary load? Thank you.
As far as I know it should not be compatible, connecting a device such as a pump may cause a sudden voltage change and the device will generate an alarm. Power factor is 0.8 lead... 0.8 lag.
