Hi, all

The following describes how to back up and restore the MCU.

As a qualified engineer, you must back up the project periodically so that the system can recover as soon as possible when disasters and misuse occur.

Q: In addition to the preceding scenarios, which of the following scenarios need a back-up?

l Before and after system hardening. In this case, system data must be fully backed up.

l Before and after security configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

l Backup is performed during patch installation and upgrade.

Data backup for the MCU includes hardware backup and system data backup. You can implement hardware backup by deploying standby hardware devices and system data backup by exporting data files from the MCU web interface.

Q: Which of the following are hardware backup?

l Main control board

l Service board

l Network port

l Power module

l Chipset

Q: How do I back up MCU system data?

1.     Log in to the MCU web interface.

2.     Choose Maintenance > Configuration.

3.     Under Export Configuration, click Export.

Data restoration for the MCU includes hardware restoration and system data restoration.

l  If hardware parts break down, use the hardware backups to resume the system functions. Hardware restoration is automatically performed by the system.

l  If the data integrity is broken, use the backup data to overwrite the current data to recover the system.

Q: How Do I Restore the System Data of the MCU?

1.     Log in to the MCU web interface.

2.     Choose Maintenance > Configuration.

3.     Under Import Configuration, clickSelect File.

4.     Click Import.
