When you run a command to configure the NTP, the first synchronization takes about 7 to 8 seconds.
An NTP synchronization request is sent in each round of polling at the following intervals: 64s, 128s, 512s, 1024s (2^6 to 2^10, five different periods). The system time is synchronized with the NTP time once in every 8 rounds of polling.
Assume that the polling period is 64s (the current polling period). The synchronization period of the NTP clock is 8.5 minutes (64s x 8).
Assume that the polling period is 1024s (the previous polling period). The synchronization period of the NTP clock is 17 minutes (128s x 8).

I configure NTP on my OLT. Command is: #ntp-service unicast-server x.x.x.x, where x.x.x.x is ip address of NTP server. A few seconds after that, I checked the time on OLT and everything was ok.
