WSON (wavelength switched optical network) is an ASON based on WDM transmission network. It is an intelligent wavelength division standard advocated by IETF standards organization. In addition to the functions of traditional ASON, it mainly solves the problems of automatic fiber / wavelength discovery, online wavelength routing, routing based on damage mode and so on.
