I just tried to convert from GPON to EPON on HG8245H5, but when i just try to reset, ONT revert back again from EPON to GPON,
Another member in here know how to make permanent EPON on HG8245H5?

Hello, friend!

The conversion between GPON ONT and EPON ONT is not supported, because the hardware, main circuit board, and signal type of GPON ONT are different from those of EPON ONT, and the peer port is also different from that of EPON ONT.

We do not recommend conversion, GPON has many advantages！
I suggest you do not do the conversion, because of the hardware, it will bring the risk of job instability.
