Problem description:
ARP cannot be learnt after the OSN 3500 is upgraded from V200R011C00 to V200R011C02. Services are interrupted.
Handling procedure:
Query the codes of the two versions. The result shows that the IP addresses of the interconnected NNI ports need to be configured on the same network segment. In V200R011C00, the segment consistency is checked and ensured manually. Even when the network segments are inconsistent, services are still available except for some scenarios (for example, dynamic ARP cannot be restored after reset). However, in V200R011C02, the IP addresses of interconnected NNI ports are configured by software. If the IP addresses are configured on different network segments, ARP cannot be learnt.
Root cause:
In V200R011C02, the IP addresses of interconnected NNI ports are configured by software. If the IP addresses are configured on different network segments, ARP cannot be learnt.
Solution:
Workaround: When planning services, ensure that the IP addresses of interconnected NNI ports are on the same network segment.
