AR6140 V300R019 ACL limitations Warning

Hi Community,


I applied 189  ACL rules on AR6140 Router.But I took warning of limitations , after that applied 120 rules.

I have displayed " display acl all" and 1 rules matches to acl.

After that I displayed " display traffic filtering statistic interface gi0/0/1 inbound "  0 matches to acl.


My questions;

1- Why I can see matches on the acl but I can not see under the interface stats ?

2-Why I took warning of limitations  after that applied 120 acl rules ? Because There is no any limitaions for acl.

Hi,
1. Has this ACL been applied to other places? As far as I understand it, if you apply this ACL to only one interface, the output of the two commands should be the same.
2. The number of rules that can be configured in each ACL is limited. This warning indicates that the number of configured rules is about to reach the upper limit.

1- Yes I applied same interface like that;

interface gi0/0/0
ip address 192.168.2.1 24
traffic-filter inbound  acl name test


2- But It not should be upper limit.Totally 4096

1.It's recommended to contact TAC for confirmation.
2. It's not the ACL resource insufficiency warning. Just as it said, the maximum number of rules that can be configured for a single ACL is limited.

Hi,

I opened case to TAC. There are saying like that.
because when we configure port or port range. one port is one rule in forward plane
so even you configure one rule. but in the forward plane there are more than one acl rule used
So its limitations right.
