AR201 & AR1220 Two Trunk Bug

Description:

Run the attached topology (built using latest build of eNSP), and try to PING:

  • 192.168.1.10 from PE1
  • 192.168.1.5 from PE1
  • 192.168.1.13 from PE2
  • 192.168.1.9 from PE2

Issue: One of the above PING will fail.

Solution: Delete the intermediate link between PE1 and PE2 and PE1 will be able to ping 192.168.1.5 and PE2 will be able to PING 192.168.1.13. I assure you that there are no loops. Its a bug which should be fixed.

Ok. It turns out issue is with all switches and routers of eNSP. If you connect 4 of switches or routers (as in above post) and configure trunk interfaces between them, any of the two devices will not be able to ping between eachother. Its very sad :(

Please config "stp disable" in each device bucause stp can block interfaces.
