AR1220 cannot reset using reset button

I cannot reset my huawei AR 1220 using the rst button. When every I press it, it restarts the router. I forgot the login credentials as this router has been sitting for over 6 months. Boothloader password Huawei/huawei/Admin@huawei.com don't work. Please help me out.

Hi mafiosa,
If you need to manually reset the device to factory settings, you need to hold down the rst button for ten seconds with power on and then release it to restore.
You can run the following command to restore the factory settings:
reset saved
y
reboot
n
y

I cannot even login to bootloader says password error neither do I remember the username and password from previous config

bro, bootrom password: Admin@huawei You can try to log in to the BootROM menu using the bootrom password I sent you. You can press the RST button to restore the device to its factory settings, and then use the default account and password to log in to the CLI.

it is getting power cycled immediately when I am pressing the rst button

Please push the rst button and don't let go. Press and hold for ten seconds and then release to allow the device to restart automatically. Then try to log in to the device using the default account and password.

still doesn't work. when i press it even when it is pressed it reboots immediately with old config.

bro, If you try the rst button and the bootrom menu won't go in, you have to contact your dealer and ask them to take care of it for you.

you can log in to the device with an empty configuration by changing the startup configuration file name.
