Hi,

I have AR109GW-L router. Whenever I try to boot it keeps rebooting automatically with the following error.

I tried factory reset but no luck. I am not familiar with this device so what can cause this constant restarts and any suggestion to fix it?

The boot file and version (i guess) is AR100-V200R008C20SPC700.cc

Any help appreciated.

Posted by hyperform at 2018-08-13 16:48 Hi StarOfWestI already registered the product and the support says I need to extend my access to dow ...
After you register your product's serial number with yours support.huawei.com account it will take about 24 hours to approve your application. After your application was approved you will get access only to recommended version of VRP which is ***.cc file.
AR109GW-L is the very new device.
Currently recommended version for AR product in 2018Q3 is V200R007, but this router comes from the stock with V200R008 and spread of this firmware is restricted. That is why you got into such difficulties.
Where are you from? Based on this info you can select nearest TAC(Technical Assistance Center).
http://e.huawei.com/en/service-hotline
Because firmware is basic feature of a router. So you don't need to pay anything.
TAC will ask you account on support.huawei.com and then they will make online application for you to get access to V200R008 firmware.
Then you can use Xmodem to download VRP to your router but it is veryyy slow 9600 bits per second so transfer will take a while.

P.S.
Also problem might be in a RAM module. If this module is unpluggable you can clean it and it's slot and try to boot again.

Thank you for your help but where can I obtain that cc file described in the guide? When I look up software download pages for my product I only get pat files which have much less size than current cc file in rom.

Hi

I really appreciate your efforts but maybe I am missing something or I am not able to explain the situation.
Your download link gives only pat files which I understand they are patch files for installed firmwares not a base firmware image. Above article that Lieza sent says I need to replace cc files. Its impossible for me to install pat files because my router cant run in normal mode which is required to install patch files. It only runs stable in safe mode and I read many articles, support files and there is none to say how to install patch files in safe mode or how to obtain that cc file.

I really dont understand what kind of a support forum is this. I have been waiting days and days to access your attachment files in your posts. And the last one is still pending for audit. And I dont understand why these documents are not in public? They are just user guides not something that needs to be kept secret.

I just need a firmware base image to replace my bad one. Is this really that hard to get one? I bought, used, repaired, recovered many routers from Cisco through Juniper and I never experienced something like that. Really confusing.

Hi StarOfWest

I already registered the product and the support says I need to extend my access to download firmware image not the patch files to solve the problem in the router s factory image. I bought this router last year and Huawei wants me to pay for the firmware which I already paid when I bough it to fix a malfunction caused by their faulty software. If I knew that ridiculous terms I would download it before for backup. I cant use a device I have paid. Well it's a very good and expensive lesson and experience for me not to buy any Huawei product again. Thanks. And anyone who read this post, unlike me you dont need to pay any money to get this lesson.

Restart the switch and press Ctrl+B to access to the BIOS (BOOTROM) to load the image again, it looks like the image is broken.

You need to load the new firmware and try to boot again.
