APS_MANUAL_STOP alarm on OSN 3500 & OSN 7500

The APS_MANUAL_STOP alarm idicates that the MSP protocol is manually disabled.


In the alarm details field you can check the parameters:


Parameter 1 indicates the MSP group type:


  •   0x01: Linear MSP group


  •   0x02 : Ring MSP group


Parameter 2 indicates the MSP group ID.


Possible causes


1. The alarm is reported for a cross-connect board. The alarm is not caused by manualy MSP disabling, but by another error.


2. The alarm is caused by manually MSP disabling.


Procedure


1. On NMS, find the subnet where the MSP protocol is disabled.


2. Enable the MSP protocol for the protection group again.
