I would like to limit bandwidth usage on a VBDIF interface both inbound and outbound on a spine switch CE8860-4C-EI V200R001C00SPC700. I would like to do that by applying a traffic policy on the interface below:
interface Vbdif1172722
description Link_to_AS9999
ip binding vpn-instance Internet_AS8888
ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.248
mac-address 0000-aa00-bb00
Apparently the VBDIF interface does not support traffic policy filtering for outbound direction.
We can use QoS CAR and apply the traffic policy on the bridge-domain (BD) with the following notes:
If applied on VBDIF: CAR only filters Layer 3 traffic of the BD;
If applied on BD: CAR filters both Layer 2 and Layer 3 traffic of the BD.
Example:
Traffic classifier test
If-match any
Traffic behavior test
Car cir 100 mbps
Traffic policy test
Classifier test behavior test
Bridge domain
Traffic-policy test inbound
Traffic-policy test outbound
