AP7110DN how to enable http server?

Hi guys, I found an AP7110DN laying around in my new work and I pretend to use it, but so far I have only been able to login (via consola and SSH). I would like to know how to do a lot of thing with it, as:

- How to change the IP of the Vlanif1? (The default IP is 169.254.1.1/24)

- Do I need to set the IP to a Vlanif? Can't I just set the IP to the GigabitEthernet0/0/0?

- How to enable the web server? So I can configure the device via http/https

- How to enable the AP mode? I guess once I can configure it via web all will be more easy


Sorry for ask, but I seek for information in this site, and besides the previous link, I only found the Introduction post.


I already registered the product, but it takes some time in order to let me download and see the blocked content... Also, the pdf I can see for now as for the Hardware Installation And Maintenance Manual and the Quick Start Manual doens't really let me know anything about this issue.

Hi Friend,

The version of the AP is very old, advise update to version  V200R019C00SPC903. About your questions:


- How to change the IP of the Vlanif1? (The default IP is 169.254.1.1/24)

[Huawei] interface vlanif 1
[Huawei-Vlanif1] ip add (new ip)

It is recommended to use a VLAN other than VLAN 1.

- Do I need to set the IP to a Vlanif? Can't I just set the IP to the GigabitEthernet0/0/0?

Yes. 

No, because the interface G0/0/0 need to be used as trunk to pass VLANs. For example:

Suppose you have 2 SSIDs, SSID1 and SSID2. Each SSID has a VLAN:

SSID1 = VLAN10
SSID2= VLAN20

These VLANs need to be allowed on the trunk on the G0/0/0 interface.

- How to enable the web server? So I can configure the device via http/https

Normally, HTTP access is already enabled on the equipment, just access via the ip of VLANIF 169.254.1.1.

Below commands for HTTPS access settings:

To change from FAT to cloud, you need to update the software version of this device to R019.
