Hi, I would like to seek help regarding configuring the existing wireless AP we have. We have this around 10 pieces but not online anymore.

Is there any chance to convert this into a FAT AP, so we can configure it 1 by 1. Im trying to look for firmware but I cant find anything online. Looking forward to this huge community, thanks.

Thank you for you prompt response, but I already downloaded that one and tried to downgrade the version of the AP through telnet and then FTP yet I have no luck..


As you can see, I have running telnet as well as FTP where I put the downloaded files. But everytime I try it says that the "Upgrade failed due to a failure in downloading the version file."

Anyway is there any other option for us to work on this model?

can you check flash memory for the AP? It might be due to insufficient memory available at the AP end.

Okay, copy on that. In case that the flash memory is insufficient for that file size, what I should do next to make more available space to download that file to AP?

In the meantime, can you please check if the downloaded file's signature is same as the published version. You can download the tool from here:

Thank you for that, I did finished downloading the file from the link you provided yet I'm still having an issue converting it to FAT..


Sorry for not replying on the thread because I can't attach a photo.


Anyway is this the flash memory you are referring? It seems that it is around 5MB only and yet I'm downloading around 21MB in filesize that's why it is always failing.

The AP software is not downloaded to the AP during the upgrade/downgrade. The connection between the AP and your PC may be faulty.

Hi Popeye_Wang, thank you for your response. Anyway how can I check that the connection from my laptop to AP is faulty? Is there anyway I can check, aside from pinging the AP while upgrading/downloading?

All possible recommendation I will try for it to work, thank you guys


Anyway I have this connection using TFTP yet I wont finish and will tell that
