Hi,

Would like to help switching AP4030DN from fit to fat . i found many guides , but when i'm trying to download firmware its not accepting and asking for privileged account .


if anyone can help me of what FAT version to use and optimal guide to do migration.

Hi nedaljo,
AP4030DN V200R005C30 and later versions support switching to the Fat AP mode.

After you upgrade your account, if you still need a privileged account, you'll have to contact your local office.

Hi User,
1. Upload the FAT software version on the FTP server.

2. Use the following command from the AP:

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch ftp FatAP5X30XN_V200R007C20SPC100.bin 192.168.10.11 admin admin123

Command parameters description

FatAP5X30XN_V200R007C20SPC100.bin - Firmware file name.

192.168.10.11 - FTP/TFTP/SFTP server's IP address.

admin - FTP/SFTP user name.

admin123 - FTP/SFTP password.

3. Wait for the AP to restart and upgrade. If the AP does not reboot, you can run the following command:

<Huawei> reboot fast

4. Check the version using the display version command.

The AP should be in FAT mode after following the above steps.

you can contact your local huawei team they will provide privileges to your account so you can download it.

They are off now. I tried to check from Huawei support site and make call to Kuwait Center but they need to open a ticket about this request and assign Engineer !
i was wondering if i can get help here .
