The announcement abnormality of U1981 occurred frequently,so I will share the experience about these issue for all of you. 

Issue description

Common prompt tones are as follows:

1、 When an intra-office user picks up the phone, the user hears the busy tone after being muted for a period of time.

2、 When an intra-office user picks up the phone and dials a supplementary service number, no supplementary service announcement or announcement is played.

3、 When an outer-office user calls an intra-office non-idle user, the user hears the busy tone after being muted for a period of time.

4、 When an outer-office user calls an intra-office non-idle user, an error message is displayed, for example, "The user you dialed does not exist."

Handling Method

1、 Log in to the device through the LMT.

2、 Run the show board command to check the status of the media resource board (that is, the value of the State field).

1) If the status is Fault, reinstall the board or replace the board to check whether the fault is rectified.

2) If the fault has been recovered alreadywe can stop do operation.If the fault is persists, go to the next step.

3、 Obtain the voice file matching the host version from the software package, create and load the voice.zip file again, and then check whether the fault is rectified. If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, go to the next step.

4、 Contact the engineers at the peer end to check whether the peer device supports the voice prompt of the U1981 unified gateway.

1) If the U1981 unified gateway voice prompt is not supported, perform the following steps to change the voice prompt to the error code prompt.

AView the soft parameter number (that is, the "type" field) of the beep with the show Softargu information type allcommand. The relevant numbers are described as follows:

278:SIP relay error code switch

308:PRA relay error code switch

310:R2 relay 183 error code switch

BModify the voice prompt to an error code prompt with the config Softargu type <0512> value 0 command (the default value is 1).

2)  If the U1981 unified gateway voice prompt is supported, go to the next step.

If you use Isup/tup relay to connect to the end, use config protocol isup Officeno <0254> Sendabnormaltone The no command modifies the voice prompt to an error code hint.

Possible reasons

1、 The service data is incorrectly configured.

2、 The media resource board is abnormal.

3、 The voice file is incorrect.

4、 The peer device does not support the voice prompt of the U1981 unified gateway.
