 Hi all,

Problem (after router AR161 restarted):

  1. The host : Android TV device don't connect to network after router restart, but all other devices in LAN connect.
  2. If restart the android TV system, then connected to network.

  3. The interface where Android Tv is fisically connected is flapping (show on logs)

  4. The Android Tv never show in ARP table

  5. if the interface "shut" and "undo shut" nothing happend, still get flapping

  6. If i change with router with another brand not have this problem, also if put a switch between the router and android tv.

  7. AR161 has the latest patch

  8. Can't capture packets on interface

  9. The interface has none errors

Any idea about to solve this by Huawei side?

Thanks!

@monchito hello
how about trying connect the Android device to another interface of AR161? Could it work?
Before upgrading the router, does such error occurred ever before?

Hi,

As you said in point 1 that all the network devices connect after restart and Android TV connects after restarting it. So, I think it might have to do some work on Android TV as well.
Because if there was some Ar161 issue, rest of the devices won't connect automatically as well.

Hi @umaryaqub, yes, is something about Android TV but also is something about Huawei, because i put another brand router and works just fine. Maybe configure some default parameter, i don't know.

Hello!

Maybe the port where the TV is connected had a type of configuration and was not saved, so when the router was rebooted it was lost, verify that the TV is connected to one of the following ports:

Eth0 / 0/0, Eth0 / 0/1, Eth0 / 0/2, Eth0 / 0/3, GE0 / 0/0, GE0 / 0/1, GE0 / 0/2 or GE0 / 0/3

and run the following command:

<Huawei> system-view
[Huawei] interface ethernet 0/0/0
[Huawei-Ethernet0/0/0] portswitch

** use the interface to which the TV is connected

Thanks
