In this post, I would like to share with you about analysis of the Interconnection Problem between the TN52NS3 and the TN54NS3.
Firstly, let's analyze the interconnection between TN52NS3 and TN54NS3 with regards to three aspects.
Board code pattern
The code patterns of the two types of boards are the same, that is, DQPSK.

Board line rate
The line rate of the two types of boards are the same too - speedup mode.

Board FEC mode

The FEC mode of the two types of boards are different, two types of boards are AFEC and AFEC-2. The TN54NS3 and TN52NS3 boards can be interconnected only when the WDM-side service is OTU3 (FEC).The OTU3e line rate of most boards is 44.58 Gbit/s, and the line rate of TN52NS3 and TN12LSXL is 44.57 Gbit/s. The two boards cannot be interconnected with other 40G line boards in speedup mode.
The OTU3_LOF alarm is generated during the interconnection. According to the alarm, it can be determined that the fault is caused by this type of interconnection problem.
