An IPC Defocuses or Fails to Focus in Infrared Mode at Night

Symptom

The eSpace IPC5602 is configured with an external infrared light. The IPC defocuses or fails to focus in infrared mode at night. However, it works properly during the day.

Possible Cause

The IPC uses a non-infrared lens. The IPC works properly during the day. However, the focus of the IPC shifts back because the infrared light wave and visible light wave are different when the IPC works in infrared mode at night.

Solution

1. Check the lens of the IPC.
   • If the IPC uses a non-infrared lens, replace it with an infrared lens.

     Otherwise, you must manually adjust the focus of the IPC during the day and at night repeatedly. Use an infrared lens if infrared night vision surveillance is required.

   • If the IPC uses an infrared lens, contact your service provider for assistance.
2. Check whether the fault is rectified.

   If yes, the procedure ends. If no, contact your service provider for assistance
