Hello, everyone!
Do you know how to solve an exclamation mark alarm that occurs in the device manager after the installation of a USB Key Driver? Don't worry, the post will share with you!
Keywords
USB Key, exclamation mark, and LinuxTC.
Symptom
Install a USB Key driver on the VM. Log in to the VM using a TC running the Linux OS. The device manager displayed an exclamation mark (!). Hot swap the device in the device manager. It is found that the device displayed in the device manager was normal only for about one or two seconds. Then, the exclamation mark (!) was displayed. Log in to the same VM using a TC running the Windows OS.
The driver status was normal.
Analysis
In this case, the possible cause was that the Linux kernel could not correctly load the device ID. To solve this problem, configure the device ID negation policy.
Solution
Configure the device ID negation policy as follows: ADV:VID:PID:0:0:0:1
After the policy took effect, the device driver was properly installed.

That's all, thanks!
