[All About Switches] Q&A: How Do I Enable the Stacking Function If Stack Commands Cannot Be Executed on S series Switches?

677 0 0 0 0

A: The stacking function is enabled by default. If stack commands cannot be executed on your switch, the switch does not support stacking.

Whether a switch supports stacking is determined by the switch hardware. If you require the stacking function, you can only replace your switch with the stacking-supporting switch model. If your switch does not support stacking, the switch cannot be upgraded to support stacking.

For details about whether a switch supports stacking, see the How Do I Obtain Information About S series Switches Stacking Support?
