Scenario 1: If no member switches in the CSS or stack system have applied for or installed a license, you need to apply for a license that contains ESNs of all the member switches.
Scenario 2: If all member switches in the CSS or stack system have applied for a license but have not installed the license, check whether the control items of all the license files are the same.
n If the control items of all the license files are the same, split the CSS or stack system, load each standalone member switch with their respective licenses, and then set up a CSS or stack system again. Alternatively, apply for a license that contains ESNs of all the member switches through the ESN change process.
n If the control items of all the license files are different, apply for a license that contains ESNs of all the member switches through the ESN change process.
l In versions prior to V200R009, you need to apply for a license that contains ESNs of all the member switches for the CSS or stack system.

Step 1: Log in to the enterprise technical support website at http://support.huawei.com/enterprise.
Step 2: Click Switches.
Step 3: Click the name of the product to be queried, for example, S5700.
Step 4: Choose Installation & Upgrade > License Guide to find the License Usage Guide for your switch model.
Step 5: Open the License Usage Guide. Choose License FAQs > How Do I Install a License File for a Stack System? in the navigation tree on the left, and follow the instructions.
For the S7700&S9700&S12700&S9300, open the License Usage Guide of the corresponding product. Choose License FAQs > How Do I Install a License File for a CSS? in the navigation tree on the left, and follow the instructions.
