  Rewarded HiCoins: 0 (problem resolved)

We having two unit 8760-X1-Pro with the latest version firmware and patch (V200R019C10SPC300,V200R019C10SPH005).

However with only very minimum devices connected (less than 10) and having intermittent no internet connection even with a full bar. In order to resolve the issue, we need to disconnect the wifi and reconnect again before it back to normal and able to surf the internet.

Is there anyone facing the same issue.

Posted by kbsao at 2021-03-25 09:38 i have done it using the wizard and it set up that way.and the IP address in AP details is 169.254.1 ...
Hi,
Didn't you say the IP address of the AP is 192.168.1.141/144? The IP address 169.254.1.1 usually indicates the device doesn't get an available IP address through the DHCP.
You are strongly recommended to following the example (https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100169916&id=EN-US_TASK_0268541467&lang=en) to check your configuration.

Hi,

Can you please confirm the following:

1. Are these APs on the same switch? or in same VLAN? This is just to check if what is the status of DHCP. As the issue you described, can be due to device not releasing the previous IP and upon reconnecting, it get the new IP and starts working.

2. What is the distance between these 2 APs? If they are close, please manually change the channels for these so there is no co-channel interference.

I hope it helps.

KB: yes, it is the same router, switch and VLAN. imaging there are three ports, (1) to Huawei FAT AP, (2) port to my PC, (3) port to Ubiquit AP.
When my phone connected to (1)(sometime back) however there is no connection, i did check the console and is connected and fine, but flat throughput. i dint notice the IP change either. for (2) (3) is working fine.

KB: the distance between two AP is around 10 meters apart (both same SSID). both AP reside in a different room, i dint set the channel however when i close to one AP with 3 bar, another AP is 2 or 1 bar only.
i can turn off one AP for testing purposes if you want.

Hi,
By so far, I understand that your 8760-X1 is working in FAT mode and the smartphone gets the IP address from the 8760-X1. Am I right?
Will you please help to do a ping test while the internet connection failure. You are expected to test ping the gateway IP address which is set on the 8760-X1 and the IP address on the router which connects to the 8760-X1.
