Hi,

I have some customers with some real time wlan applications.

Due to this application we are looking into the function and behaviour of air-scan.

From what I read voice and video optimisation should be used to postprone airscanning on the radio while the ap is forwarding Voice / Video traffic.

In the given examples SAC is used to identifiy traffic but it does recognise only a handfull of applications while it takes a signinficant amount of resources even rusulting in significant performance limitations in soime of our test cases.

Is there any other way than using sac to trigger airscan to postprone ?

I would imagine that checking for COS or DSCP values in frames could be a pretty efficient way to detect the need for real time forwarding over wifi.

Hi,

In addition to the SAC, you can also configure the Skype4B (based on Skype4B SDN APIs) function.

Thank you for your answer, but It will not work if the aplication definition is not recognised by SAC. SAC allso seems to have a significant impact on resources and performance as told in one if my previous threads.

Is there any way to user just COS or DSCP value to infuluence the aitr-sacn postproning ? This would be way more conveniant, cross vendor compliant and way less complex and resource intensive then SAC.
