This post will tell you one issue for after restart of OSN 3500 some VC4 still down while remaining normal.
Problem description:
Customer reported an outage at OSN 3500.
The OSN 3500 node was restarted due to DC power issue and after its restart some VC4 still alarmed and down while remaining normal.
Handling procedure:
The alarmed VC4 were terminating at EGS2 board
The servis passing through all line boards checked and alarms noted
The EGS2 board given hard and cold reset to check whether it is stuck
Then it is found that the servis configuration is not visible at the EGS2 board whie the configuration is visible at far end board
On querying the optical power of line board the optical power was not been queried
Then the NE was performed with download operation after verifying its consistency and after download operation from NMS the services get normal.
Root cause:
