Hello everyone!
Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem Description
During working on Project X as we are installing E-Band MW links with RTN 380 we faced a problem to add RTN 380 to router as we cannot see it on U2000 because we cannot get the below data to add it on U2000:
1- RTN ID.
2- RTN Extended ID.
3- RTN Gateway.
Problem Analysis
As the problem was that we cannot get the RTN ID, Extended ID and the gateway through the router and by Analyzing the problem we try the below solutions:
1- we ask the FE to connect the RTN 380 with any old NE on site through any available slots on EG4 board or EM6F board and it works to find the required data through the core routing table of the old NE on site and add the RTN 380 on U2000.
2- in case that we found the old NE's on site busy we can ask the FE to finish the MW link Alignment then nwe can search for the RTN 380 from the core routing table of RTN installed on the other site and it also works to find the required data to add the RTN 380 on the U2000 but it takes time waiting the implementation team to finish alignment.
Root Cause
During the installation of the E-band MW links with RTN 380 you may face problem in adding the RTN 380 connected to the router to U2000 as you will not be able to find the required data through the router to add the RTN.
Solution Description
Regarding to this problem we found 2 solutions to add the RTN 380 which is connected to router to the U2000 and they are as below.
1- connect the RTN to any old NE on site through any free slot on EG4 or EM6F boards to see the RTN 380 thorough the core routing table.
2- Wait the implementation team to finish the MW link alignment and you can find the RTN 380 connected to the router through the RTN installed on the other site but it will take time waiting the MW link alignment to be finished.
