Background
Before installing the database cluster on VP1 (for the installation details, see Installing a Database Cluster on VP1), you must create a user on which the database service relies. This user must meet the following requirements:
- The user account has the Domain Admins permission.
- The user password never expires.
For the user plan, see the domain user plan for the database service in Table 1.
Procedure
- Log in to Domain1 as Administrator.
- Choose Start > Administrative Tools > Active
Directory Administrative Center.
The Active Directory Administrative Center window is displayed.
- In the navigation tree on the left, choose smc20(local) > Users.
The user list is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

choose New > User.
The Create User dialog box is displayed.
- Set the parameters under Account.
- In Full name, enter adminsql.
- In User SamAccount, enter adminsql.
- In Password and Confirm password, enter Admin.sqlser654321.
- Under Password options, select Other password options and Password never expires.

Member Of, perform
the following operations:
- Click Add.
The Select Groups dialog box is displayed.
- In Enter the object names to select, enter DomainAdmins and click OK.
Figure 3 shows the Member of area.
