         I`m now delivering a project, but I`m encounting some issues with adding the decoder. what is the right way to add a decoder, if adding failed, what should I do for this issue?

hello, boss! Hoping you are fine. you can add the decoder by below steps:
1. login the IVS client, choose the video wall in the Service Operation panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double click it and inter it.
2. add the decoder. input the decoder IP and port, configure the account and password. But before adding the decoder to the C/S client, you need to ensure that the decoder is not added to other C/S clients.
3. if you still add it failed, you can contact huawei support team for help.

If using huawei VCN server and DEC decoder. the correct way to add it should be as follows.

1.In the login page of the C/S client, enter the User name, Password and Server IP address, and then click log in, the Workspace tab page is displayed.

NOTE:
Set Server IP address to the IP address of the VCN.


2.In the Service Operation panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double-click Video Wall, as shown in Figure 5-11.

3.Add decoder. In the Decoder List panel on the Video Wall tab page, click to access the page for adding decoders.

NOTE:
A decoder can register with only C/S client. Therefore, before adding the decoder to the C/S client, ensure that the decoder is not added to other C/S clients. If the decoder has been added to another C/S client, the decoder cannot be added on this C/S client.
•Add a decoder, as shown in Figure 5-12.

a.Click .
b.Enter the decoder name, IP address, and port number.
NOTE:
◾Your name must be between 1 to 30 characters in length and not contain the following characters:<>';@"$*%)\/|?--
◾The default port number of the decoder is 9900.

c.Repeat 3.a through 3.b to add multiple decoders.

d.Enter the service user name and password for the decoder to register with the C/S client.
◾If the service user name and password for the decoder to register with the C/S client is different from the password, enter the decoder service user name and password and click Verify.
◾If the service user name and password for the decoder to register with the C/S client is the same as the password, enter the decoder service user name and password and click Batch Verify.

If the verification status is , verification succeeds.

1. first let me show you the right way to add a decoder.
a. add the IP and port.
b. configure the user/password. you can use the user/password to identify first.
2. if adding failed, we suggest to record the error code. but normally the issue is caused by the network and credentials.

What is your VCN modle and Decoder modle?
The possible causes are as follows:
1.The network is unreachable.
2.The connect user and password is wrong

if you want to add the decoder,please confirm that the decoder and the IVS client on the same segment.then Change the business password of the decoder first.(you can login the decoder web page ,on the right corner).after changed the business password ,you can add the decoder on the IVS client.
