  Rewarded HiCoins: 0 (problem resolved)

Hello everyone,

I have AC6005 with 8APs and need to add APs to AC (AC managed) and have the network and internet through the AC to APs how to do that?

I mean which port should I select for internet source WAN and which port for WLAN APs, also I want to add static IP for internet source which I already have(IP, Subnet, Gateway, DNS)

I want to use it as router and dhcp server for APs just like a normal Router.

Does anybody knows the configurations for the above senario, I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Hi Ahang,

The port function is not be restricted. An interface becomes a WAN or LAN interface according to your configuration.

For details about the configuration, pls refer to the product documentation.

I tried many configuration guides including the one you mentioned but didn't work for me, I need to assign static IP to WAN as internet source and use LAN as DHCP server for APs. could you please provide an example that would be very helpful.

What problems do you encounter during the configuration? For what's you mentioned, I think the example in the hyberlink is satisfied. The AC functions as the DHCP server, the vlan100 allocates addresses to the APs, the VLAN101 and VLAN102 allocate addresses to the STAs. The gateways of the VLAN101 and VLAN102 are static IP addresses and can access the Internet. You can also configure another VLAN binding interface as the WAN port.

The problem is the STAs cannot access the internet or external network behind the AC, the AP and STAs obtain the IPs automatically but they don't have access to the internet and external network. I don't really understand these figures in the guides what's Router IP and SwitchA, SwitchB? I only have one Access controller (AC6005) with 7 APs (AP4050DN).

In this example, the switch is used to connect to the AC and AP.

In your case, does the terminal that cannot access the Internet correctly obtain the IP address? Can they ping the AC? Can the AC connection to the network? You should check by segment.
If the problem persists, you are advised to share your networking and configuration so that we can help to locate the fault. Alternatively, you can contact TAC engineers to locate the fault remotely.
