About WLAN Performance and how to Increase it

Issue Description

speed issue: Internet main link speed is 275 MBPS and on wifi getting only 54 MBPS max when no user connected on wifi

transparent.gif Handling Process

WLAN speed depends on several factors as below:

-          Factors for maximum theoretical speed:

Selected band (2.4 G or 5 G)

Number for supported antennas on both STA (device) and AP

Wireless modulation type

Channel bandwidth for 5G

Used Standard (802.11ac/b/g/n/a)

-          Factors for Actual speed

Power of Transmitted signal from both STA (device) and AP

Obstacles between both device and AP

Non Wifi signal noise interference

Wifi co-channel interference “which has been fixed in the below activity”

Channel utilization (number of devices connected to the same AP, traffic utilized by each device)

-          End to end actual speed

Internet link capacity

Uplinks starting from AP, Edge Switch, core Switch

After checking the sent diagnostic, kindly find below the issue findings:

The configured channel set for 2.4 WLAN band causing interference between APs as it uses all channels including coherent channels

So kindly avail a downtime for changing these configured channel set and re-calibrate as below:

[AC]wlan

[AC-wlan-view]regulatory-domain-profile name Arcadia

[AC-regulate-domain-Arcadia] dca-channel 2.4g channel-set 1,6,11

[AC-regulate-domain-Arcadia] dca-channel 2.4g channel-set 1,5,9,13                      //incase of high density service

And then start manual calibration

[AC-wlan-view] calibrate enable manual

[AC-wlan-view] calibrate manual startup

Warning: The operation may cause business interruption, continue?[y/n]:y

wrong channel set was used for 2.4 GHz

best practise WLAN calibration and parameters need to be configured
