Hi,

I have a question:

If NEID for a node is set as 9-1, while the next node set as 88-2, can these 2 nodes communicate as usual?  

For the 2 nodes to communicate, any limitation on NEID should I take note of?

Dear friend!
The purpose of putting the NEID is for easy managing the NE from NMS.
The first part of the NEID is an example 9-1. The 9 is the extended ID. It usually refers to a subnet number to identify unique or different subnets. Normally if the NEs are in the same subnets, we will put the same extended ID for the NE. The extended ID value ranges from 1-254, and by default, it is set as 9.
The NEs can still communicate with each other as long as they are connected to the same gateway NE.

Please make sure that the NE ID is unique for each NE.
