A Site Cannot Hear the Local or Remote Presentation Audio

During a point-to-point conference, the two sites can hear each other, but one of them cannot hear the local or remote presentation audio.

Step 1 Verify that audio cables are correctly connected at both sites.

Step 2 Verify that the audio software at both site functions properly.

1. Telnet to the telepresence host's port 23.
2. Run trace setdebugcpuid 1 to enter audio debug mode.
3. Run audio GetdebugMatrix and check whether the value in the AuxInLO column is 0 1.
4. If the value is not 0 1, the software is faulty. Reach to the R&D contact.

Step 3 Speak into the microphone and check whether the voice comes from the center speaker only.
If yes, the speakers are incorrectly connected.

Step 4 Verify that the speakers' cable connection as well the DIP switches' settings are correct, as specified in the deployment guide.

Root Cause

The audio cable connection is incorrect, or the audio software malfunctions.
