Hi team!
Here's a case that A Faulty Disk Needs to Be Replaced Using Its BOM Code.
Symptoms
A disk becomes faulty during operation and needs to be replaced.
Cause
The BOM code of the disk must be obtained to determine the batch it belongs to.
Identification Method
The identification method depends on the scenario:
1. The disk is still connected to the system.
Log in to the system to query the faulty disk's details, as shown in the following figure:

In the Bar Code value, the BOM code occupies the third to tenth place.
In the preceding figure, the BOM code is 0235G7FK.
2. The disk is not connected to the system.
Take out the disk and check its label, as shown in the following figure (using a Hitachi disk as an example):

In the bar code, the BOM code occupies the third to tenth place.
In the preceding figure, the BOM code is 02310KPU.
You can obtain the BOM code on the label even the disk is connected to the system.
Solution
Fill in an e-flow using the obtained BOM code.
When replacing a disk, ensure that the new disk and the fault disk have the same BOM code.
Application Scope
