Hi, Community.
This post talks about the procedure of how to solve the issue of a camera not showing live video in IVS client while the camera is working fine and can ping successfully. Please find more details below.
Issue description
The camera has been installed and is connected to the network and switch. It can ping successfully and can show the live video on the camera web login.
However, the same camera, when configured on the IVS client, cannot show the live video, even if the camera status is online in the VS client. The camera can ping from the client desktop. Every time when trying to turn on the live camera, it gives an error and it can not go live.
The problem happens when turning on the camera live to the IVS client although the camera is online and it can ping from IVS client desktop, so it just gives an error as:
Operation failure. Error code: 169100054

Alarm information
The following error alarm comes when double-clicking the camera in the IVS client window to make it live:
Error
Operation Failure. Error code:
169100054

Handling process
When identifying and analyzing this problem, we found the following events:
The camera is working fine.
The camera can ping and log in to web url and the video can be seen live;
The camera IP can search in the IVS client and it can add to the camera list;
The camera status is online in the IVS client window;
But when double-clicking the camera, it can't show the live video and there's an error being generated.
The following is the diagnostic process.
Log in to the IVS client.
Select the camera which is giving an error message, right-click and edit.

In the configuration window, select Video Encoding Settings.

Click on the Encoding format drop-down and select the value from the drop-down list.

Check the other parameters (such as frame rate and bit-rate), click Apply, and OK.

Go back to the IVS client window and double-click the camera. Now, the live video will be working in the IVS system.

Root cause
The root cause was that when the camera is connected to the IVS client, it doesn't show the live video because the encoding format setting was not able to be assigned in the configuration parameters. Hence this parameter was missing and the video live stream cannot show from the camera, even if the status is online in the IVS client.
Solution
There was no workaround found. The encoding format setting needs to check if everything is fine, but still the camera cannot go live in the IVS client window and error code: 169100054 is showing.
Thanks!
