Hi, Community members!
Today, let's talk about VFW.
What is VFW?
VFW means the Virtual Firewall,As the name suggests, a virtual firewall is similar to a firewall on a network.
It is a private cloud security service. You can add a blacklist or whitelist to control access policies of one or more subnets. You can also use some ACL rules to determine the packet flow direction.
What function does VFW have?
Like network firewalls, users can also use virtual firewalls to manage cloud server access rules in VPCs and formulate policies to restrict user access rights. This greatly enhances cloud service security.
How does VFW work?
1. Log in to the ManageOne.
2. Authentication and authorization from the ManageOne operation plane to IAM.
3. Create a virtual firewall or add a firewall rule on the VFW page.
4. Invoke the VFW interface provided by the Network Service to deliver the configuration.
5. The Network Service invokes the vfw/fwaas interface provided by the OpenStack Neutron to create a VFW.
6. The Neutron-server uses the RPC to instruct the neutron agent to configure the Linux iptable rule.

That's all for today. I hope it will be helpful to all of you!
