After rigid ARP learning is enabled on a device, the device learns only packets responding to the ARP request packets sent by itself and does not update ARP entries according to ARP request or response packets passively. The device updates ARP entries in either of the following situations:

The ARP entry corresponding to an IP address does not exist, and the packets responding to ARP request packets that are sent by the local interface are received.
The ARP entry corresponding to an IP address exists, then the MAC address of the peer device changes, and the packets responding to ARP request packets are received.
