Web Interface on S5720EI (7z not there?)

Latest reply: Aug 14, 2015 14:10:48 3521 7 0 0

Hi everyone and greetings from Switzerland!

I am stuck with the configuration of our new S5720EI. I tend to do everything via CLI via SSL which works perfectly, but my friends want to use the web interface. So I tried to find the web server 7z and it seems to hide quite hard.

On the Switch, there is no 7z in the flash directory. Inside the most recent ZIP File for S5700 which can be downloaded on the support-site (S5720EI-V200R007C00SPC500.zip), there is no 7z inside, only uboot, bootstrap and cc with md5 checksum.

The reported version is v200v007c00.cc on the flash, it is the biggest file. But no 7z. There is only a help.web file inside.

Can you tell me where to find this file? Am I blind?

Thank you all!

That's right, as with V200R007 there is no 7Z anymore.

For S5720EI, there's no need to load web file in device. (Press MODE for 6s, you can connect to WEB inteface)

For details, please refer to Product Documnet to find the way to login in WEB.

Thank you very much, very appreciated!

There is just one issue: The S5720EI-50X does not have any MODE button.

The manual says: Devices without the MODE button do not support first login through the Web system. (Chapter 1.1)

I do not want to user web system for initial configuration. I already did initlial configuration via CLI.
But I want to enable it for my colleagues afterwards.

Does that mean it is not possible to install web system on these switches?

Hi Carlo

Have you checked if the switch is running the correct firmware after update by entering
display startup
?

I have just updated an s5700LI-10P from V200R003 to V200R007 and the webinterface works.

I deleted the old web.7z file in the process.

Have you also verified if the HTTP-Server is running on the switch?
