I am working on AR 1220V for my labs. I have seen this messages coming on my screen many times.

Warning: Auto-Config is working. Do you want to stop Auto-Config? [y/n]:

I have read about this Warning message in huawei product documentation. It says:

"When you connect to the console port of a AR1200 that does not have a startup configuration file, the system displays "Auto-Config is working. Before configuring the device, stop Auto-Config. If you perform configurations when Auto-Config is running, the DHCP, routing, DNS, and VTY configurations will be lost. Do you want to stop Auto-Config? [y/n]:"

I have tried it many times but it never loses the configurations. I can't understand what is it actually talking about. It is all greek to me.

Any expert, please help me in this.
Thanks in advance.

The most important symptom is that some protocol configurations are cleared when this function is enabled.

For example DHCP-related configuration are cleared periodically after a few minutes of running.

Usualy this feature is used when the device starts with empty configuration and also need network environment support integration.
