Thoughts on using a CE6810 as a L3 core swtich in a campus network?

Hi all,

We have a small campus network and are thinking of using 4 x CE6810's in an iStack config as the Layer 3 (collapsed) core for the network.

I understand that the S6700's are more targeted as campus networks. But these are a lot more expensive than the CE6810's (or even Cisco or Juniper 10Gig switches).

What are peoples thoughts on using CE switches as a L3 core?

We don't have any fancy MPLS or routing protocol requirements beyond static routes.

Thanks, Simon

Hi,  CE6810EI or CE6810LI ,  CE6810EI  support L3 router protocol , CE6810LI only support static route. S6700's are more targeted as campus networks, but  CE6810EI also no problem.
